Second Cluster Conclave (18th -19th August 2010)
This was a three day long event organised from 29th to 31st August2010. The conclave was inaugurated by Sri R.S. Mooshahary, the Governor of Meghalaya. The conclave had participation from twenty existing clusters, three upcoming clusters, one Rural Business Hub and trainees of Jewellery Incubation Centre, IIE.
In this event, representative from a number of business houses participated and left their valuable feedback. This was in addition to their commitments regarding association with clusters. A local business house committed its association with Pyranga Eri cluster of Assam and Umden Eri cluster of Meghalaya and business houses explicitly showed interest in Bairabi bamboo for their incense sticks and indigenously developed machineries.
Organisations like NEHHDC and Artfed ordered various handloom and handicrafts products and the cluster artisan could understand that they could continuously supply their products through these organisations. The entire conclave received an overwhelming response from the general public and the total recorded footfall was more than 4000.
